"The featured piece this year is the Requiem (mass for the dead) by Alfred Schnittke (1975). It’s a wild and very weird yet strangely beautiful piece for choir plus organ, piano, trumpet, trombone, electric bass & guitar, celeste, and percussion ensemble," event organizers promises of this year's King’s at the Cathedral concert series season opener.
