Feed your conscience

A New Year's to Feed Nova Scotia will have you partying for a good cause.

So you already bought the dress or the perfect silver bowtie when all of a sudden you pull a full Grinch and your heart grows three sizes bigger. Now what? Your social conscience is weighing on you like that gold tiara you swore you'd find a reason to wear and the clock is ticking down. Enter KaBoom Media's A New Year's to Feed Nova Scotia. So you can give a little back (the goal is to raise $5,000) and get yer drank on too! Who knew? It's the party to be at with DJs Plaeboi and Mathematix and QUAKE Matthews counting it out, plus comedians Brian Aylward and Merv Hartlen keeping you laughing. You can opt for a fancy dinner with your comedy show (think grilled beef tenderloin and roasted chicken breast with all the tasty trimmings) or drop in after to pose in the photo booth and raid the candy bar. There's so many options, it's hard to choose, so let your wallet do it for you. It's a good resolution to set early and it feels good, too...or so I'm often told.

World Trade and Convention Centre, 1800 Argyle Street, 7pm-2:30am, $60 (entertainment), $120 (meal and seating), $150 (VIP), 421-8686,,
