Eyes soar

Home for a short rest, the hardworking A Sight for Sewn Eyes plays to the Pavilion before hitting the road yet again.

Quite a Sight
  • Quite a Sight

Best. Year. Ever. If we were to put words in the mouths of Halifax metal outfit A Sight For Sewn Eyes, it'd likely be those ones. After being signed to heavy-hitting loud label Distort, releasing it's first big studio album Alone Together, under the wisdom of producer Greg Dawson (who's also produced Moneen), and touring Canada with England's Architects and Toronto's Structures it's a fair statement. "That was one of our best tours so far," says lead singer Joshua Hanusiak. "We were playing to massive crowds, it was a great way to build more fans." But after a couple of months back in Halifax, ASFSA is ready to head out on tour again with Distort labelmates Exhalt. First and foremost though, some hometown love.

Saturday, November 10, Pavilion, 5816 Cogswell Street, 6:45pm, $14/$15

Survey Asks

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
