Downtown countdown with Three Sheet

Halifax's favorite hip-hop group rips up The Seahorse with The Caravan, Tupperware Remix Party and Town Heroes.

The lady and gents of Three Sheet are ending their busiest year yet and can only hope 2011 treats them just as well. They took home two Music Nova Scotia awards, toured through Ontario three times and most recently released three singles from their upcoming album Sheet Music. The new year will bring the release of three more tracks in February, followed by the album's release in April, then they're hoping to tour Canada. Three Sheet's main MC Matt Kliffer has other plans in mind for the new year too, or shall we say resolutions. "I quit smoking three times this year, and then started again. The whole band smokes except for our bassist, I think we need to quit as a band." –Allison Saunders

The Seahorse, 1665 Argyle Street, 9pm, $17/$20,, 1-888-311-9090

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
