Katie's profession is as an information, change and knowledge manager. She has worked for the Dept. of Foreign Affairs, the Dept. of National Defence, Care Canada and Canada Post (under contract).Goals and Issues
Katie wants to run a green campaign. Instead of putting up signs, she wants people to print off a poster and put it in their window. How is that green again? Well, it means you can recycle the poster after the election!
Issues: traffic, again. Let's admit it - this is the big issue for this district, post-Chebucto. Katie is all for increased density and new buildings in the district. HRM by Design "paints with too broad a brush and removes the possibility of citizen participation if it comes into law." She is also for late night buses and light rail to the airport. She would like to see a law "that would ensure all new residential construction provide 5% of their holdings to the affordable income stock" to accommodate more low income housing. And she supports tax reform.
