Myrianne St-Onge I’m an Administrative Assistant at CPA Atlantic

For people in my situation—moving here and being worried that their English would not be good enough, Direction Emploi is there to help you find jobs when moving to an English-speaking province, to help you at the start: finding job opportunities, resume help, translating things—anything to help you.

They have small classes, such as how to write a good resume, using English social media and mock interviews, which are great. But the best thing is knowing that, while we are searching for jobs in a secondary language, they have someone who speaks French who can help you along the way and ease you into your new surroundings.

I heard about Direction Emploi from a friend from Quebec, who had lived in Nova Scotia for a year and used their help. They have been so wonderful to work with, I had two interviews almost immediately, and one of them was for the job that I have now!

If you have a question about anything, they can help you at Direction Emploi. Plus they are really nice! They are quick to answer emails or concerns, and it is comforting to know you are not alone as there are others in a similar situation.
