Darrell's gets a reno, plans anniversary

Excitement and changes at the south end eatery

Restaurateur Dan Joseph has let The Feed know that his place, Darrell's Restaurant (5576 Fenwick Street, 492-2344) is planning to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. (It opened in June of 1992, Joseph bought it in June 1997). Part of the celebration also involves renovation: Expect Darrell's to be closed February 20 for three to four days for a $100,000 makeover. "Mostly a brand new kitchen, which will be followed by a new building face and new cedar patio for this coming summer," explains Joseph. Expect events, t-shirts and more to follow as the summer birthday approaches.
