Nova Scotia and New Brunswick-based
Hemmings House Pictures is holding its second round of public auditions Sunday, November 20 for an up-coming documentary TV series called
Cubicle to the Cage. The series, which will air on the HD network radX in 2013, will be shot entirely in the Maritimes. It's intent is to turn average folks into professional mixed martial arts warriors.
No matter what your body type or lifestyle, all are welcome to audition, provided you haven’t been in a professional fight before. A select few will get the training they need to face opponents in the cage.
As with other reality shows of this sort, camera crews track the day-to-day of the cast, including the changes to their life and relationships, dietary restrictions, intense training sessions and, presumably, getting the Eye of the Tiger. And at the end of a 12-month program, trainees will step into a cage for their first professional fight before a televised audience.
Auditions will happen at
TitansMMA + Boxing (3200 Kempt Road). Registration and interviews are from 12pm to 2pm. Auditions take place from 3pm to 5pm. Call-backs follow from 6 pm to 8pm. People looking to audition are asked to come dressed for physical activity.
