Crossing Borders—Mission: Compassion

One part music and one part musing, this evening of contemporary compositions sees soprano Maureen Batt and pianist Cheryl Duvall explore the meaning of compassion while playing a slew of works, including the premiere of Halifax-based composer Robert Bauer's Ice Kaleidoscope. Bauer's piece, written especially for Batt, is a five-movement work for soprano and electroacoustics.
