The mystery of why so many people are getting hit and/or killed in crosswalks in Halifax has been solved, by none other than Joanne Light, who I quote 'STOP FOR PEDESTRIANS THOUGH AT EVERY INTERSECTION, BUT ONLY IF IT MAKES SENSE'. Are you fucking kidding me, half this world has no sense anymore, but I could have sworn the law requires all vehicles, bicycles too, to yield to pedestrians at intersections and crosswalks. Guess in Halifax that means when one is waiting to cross, no cars need to yield, unless the person actually has a foot in the crosswalk. No wonder people get hit, they must have to literally walk in front of cars to stop traffic, otherwise, they might as well just stand there all day until that rare person with sense stops for them. Her letter is just classic NONsense from yet another bike idiot.
