Sunrise (Savoy)

David Lowery may never be a household name, but his body of work is getting impressive. From Camper Van Beethoven to this ninth Cracker album, his wit and energy feel unstoppable. Sunrise rocks to varying degrees of punk. "Hand Me My Inhaler" pogos out, while others display a greater range. "Show Me How this Thing Works" should strike a chord with anyone who wishes that technology would just chill out. The rowdy intelligence might make you file this next to Cormac McCarthy instead of the Allman Brothers.

Survey Asks

Should council use the yet-to-be-finalized Centre Plan when debating new developments?

  • No, it doesn’t exist yet and is still likely to change
  • Yes, thousands of hours of work and consultation have gone into what’s already assembled
  • Maybe, it really depends on what’s being proposed by the developer
  • I don’t know what the Centre Plan is and do not wish to participate in this poll
