Considering everything on Bailey Rae’s first two albums came from her own pen, the cooing Brit offers a departure here with five covers. The live version of “Que Sera Sera,” though heartily applauded, hardly rates nearly half the disc’s length. The rest is stellar in range and execution. Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” makes it off the island as a soul vamp with sweet backing vocals. Prince’s first hit, “I Wanna Be Your Lover,” lets Corinne cut loose. Grunge gold emerges in Belly’s “Low Red Moon.” “My Love” had been seen as one of McCartney’s dimmer ballads. With Bailey Rae’s delicacy and minimal backing, Sir Paul’s original sentiment gains a new lease on life.
