Gordon Lightfoot, comes to the Halifax Metro Centre on April 2, after two dates in Newfoundland, at the Holy Heart Theatre in St. John's on March 29 and 30. Get tickets here. Tickets are $72 and are on sale now. The show starts at 8pm. The man's a legend, come aaaaaaaan.

Jill Barber (The Barbanator, Barbarella, Barbed Wire, Barbs for the Memories, Throw Another Shrimp on the Barbie*) comes back to Halifax after her five week tour of Australia in support of her latest release Chances at St. Matthew’s Church (1479 Barrington Street) on Friday, February 12 at 8pm. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of show (including tax) and are on sale now. Tickets will be available at all Ticketpro outlets, by phone at 1-888-311-9090 and online at www.sonicconcerts.com.

*Note: To my knowledge, these are not legitimate nicknames for Jill Barber.

Blue Rodeo are coming to the Halifax Metro Centre on Thursday, January 28 to promote their 12th studio recording, The Things We Left Behind (released November 10). Tickets on sale right now at www.ticketatlantic.com

Friday, November 20 at 10pm, at The Palace (1721 Brunswick Street), Ground Level Entertainment and Jayo Productions present Rob Base ("It Takes Two" and "Joy & Pain"), Kyle Rifkin (Top Performer On America's Got Talent), DJ KEV-SKI, 4PLAE (DJs IV and Plaeboi) and host Tacktishion for an old school party. Tickets are $15 and available online.
