Colville

This special screening of the documentary COLVILLE will be presented to mark the passing of one of Canada’s great artists, former chancellor of Acadia University, and long-time resident of Wolfville, Dr. Alex Colville. The is an intimate film portrait of Alex Colville and his wife Rhoda living their daily routine and reflecting on their domestic life, their relationship and Alex’s work as a painter. These scenes are set against the local landscape that seem to bring to life compelling images from his paintings. The film is by German filmmaker Andreas Schultz. Admission is by free will offering, and a donation after expenses are paid will go to the Valley Hospice Foundation.
