No resources are being taken away from welfare to accommodate 25000 fellow human beings. In a few years most of those 25000 people will be job working tax paying citizens. You want money for the poor? Tax large corporations and end all subsidizes to companies whose executives make more than 6 figures a year. Poor desperate people are not our enemies just because they're different. One final thing, I know OP didn't bring it up, but i must state, if you're a person whose afraid of people that are different than you. You might as well curl up in a ball and die. the terrorists have already beaten you.
I like when women stare at me. sexy stare, nice stare, mean stare, i don't care, all the same... Maybe she's 90 and just woke up from an 80 year coma? It would be jarring to see a brown guy on a bus sitting so close.... Maybe she's an android, first of her kind, staring might be one of the ways it learns... OP, you should definitely try to get a job in and move to the southern states. There is no northern city that completely shuts down because of snow. N.S is easy, try doing a winter in Edmonton or Toronto. I've never lived there, but I hear New Brunswick is a little on the snowy side too.
