White Women (Big Beat/Atlantic)

The Canadian electro-funk duo's fourth album has everything you'd expect: plenty of ass-shakin' grooves, swagger, humour and songs about women and relationships. The group's sound is a throwback to the dance and funk music of the late 1970s and early 1980s, but sounds ahead of its time. Compared to previous albums, this one features way more falsetto vocals and less talkbox. The finished product is a more mainstream sound with guitar work which has the Chic vibe found on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories. "Jealous (I Ain't with It)," just might become this summer's "Get Lucky."
