China Day

When: Tue., Oct. 25, 1:30-7:30 p.m. 2016

A full afternoon of Chinese culture floods the Student Union building at Dal to celibrate the university's Chinese Studies program turning 10. The schedule runs like this: A talk at 1:30 will run down funding opportunities for students and faculty looking to do research in China, followed by a 2:30 info session on scholarship opportunities. 3:30pm sees a book launch by Dr. Simon Know, focusing on how the west views China. Learn some Chinese calligraphy from 6-6:30pm and enjoy live, traditional Chinese music and dance, followed by some short Chinese films at 7:30pm.
