Chester Playhouse Summer Festival

Is there anything nicer on a summer evening than heading out of town for supper and a show in a quaint little seaside town? In July, head into Chester for campy fun with Ruthless!, a musical about would-be child star and her (stage) mother who’ll go to any lengths to climb the ladder of success. In August, Rhys Bevan-John stars as a very unreliable narrator in the one-man show Here Lies Henry. Also check out Back Home Again, a John Denver tribute, as well as Bohemians in Brooklyn, a cabaret narrated by CBC’s Tom Allen. —Kate Watson
