After seven years running burger joint Relish, Drew Voegeli decided to shake things up and remake the Quinpool Road space into a modern diner. Cheeky Neighbour opened in late 2019 with a menu of updated classics for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Think steak and eggs, a carrot cake pancake, fish 'n' chips, kale Caesar—plus burgers, naturally. Voegeli remembers the feeling of comfort that came when his family would gather around the table to eat, and wants to bring the same joy to his customers today. "I want people to leave happy," he tells The Coast. "You don't go out to eat to have a bad time. It's always about having a positive experience—that's what we're trying to create."
