This couch (ugly couch, we might add) has been baking in the sun for far, far too long.

This couch (ugly couch, we might add) has been baking in the sun for far, far too long.

Remarks: It’s that time of year again: discarded couch time! If you’re on the market for a very free, slightly damp living room accent, now is the time to get hunting. This offending chesterfield was found on Maitland Street, where it sat for a couple of weeks doing nothing in particular. The city will dispose of a couch if it’s on city property, like this one (“It becomes a liability issue,” HRM dispatch tells us), but private property is considered a private problem. Remember, though: one man’s private problem is another man’s pull-out bed!

Who's Responsible?: HRM Public Works and Trans-portation, VIA the HRM dispatch centre. 490-4000.
