By our estimation, this staircase outside of the Killiam Library is operating at one-third capacity. What up with the chains?

Remarks: Turns out Dal chained off the side stairs to make room for a little bit of campus beautification---note the folksy flower barrels and gardeney plots. Good intention, but frankly, this ain’t working. This is still a darn ugly concrete staircase. Besides, the chain links seem to scream, “Please, do stay the fuck away from my greenery.” If you’re going to sacrifice function for beauty, the least you could do is actually deliver on the beauty.
