This is a troubling article in many respects.
    1. It is written in a a sensational way detailing the violence and mentioning several times how small and tiny Ms. Coffin is which perpetuates the narrow minded view that women are weak.
    2. Ms. Coffin does not say whether she told the Kousolis and Fillmore who she was but is critical that they were campaigning in her building. Why drag them into this story? Was it the link to put the Liberal party and current government in a bad light? We all know the Coast is pro NDP.
    3. Ms. Coffin is critical of the politician whom she saw at CBC and did not speak to her.
This contradicts her incredulity that the MLA campaigning spoke to her.
    4. The Coast doesn't believe her 100% as they had this story a couple weeks ago and sat on it last week purposely not running it before the election.
    5. Due to the slanted writing and delivery of this story and knowing that the Coast sat on it for over a week, I am sad to say, I question how factual the content is.
    6. Harris was arrested and served a sentence or just got probation (not sure). Having gone through the judicial system (he pleaded out), what do we do? Punish him and deny him work for another year, 2 years, 5, forever? What is right here?
    7. All of the above leads me to a conclusion that both The Coast and Ms. Coffin are using each other.
    8. This story, the writer and Ms. Coffin devalue women that are victims of abuse and our raw emotions, horrifying memories, nightmares, obstacles, milestones and much more.
This is a disservice to survivors of abuse.
