Award-winning Canadian comic artist Cameron Stewart is visiting Halifax for the first time this weekend, signing comics and saying hello. Fresh from illustrating a story arc for DC Comics' Batman and Robin, Stewart writes from Paris about the newly finished project. "Working on Batman and Robin was a joy---I've been a fan of the writer, Grant Morrison, since I was 13 and even though we've now collaborated several times...to have my name alongside his on the cover of one of the most famous comics in the world is a real thrill." Cameron's previous work includes Catwoman, Seven Soldiers: Manhattan Guardian and Seaguy, and now includes his first major work as both a writer and illustrator: Sin Titulo, a webcomic to be made into a printed book. "As much as I enjoy working with a writer of Grant's talent, I've discovered that there is an irreplaceable satisfaction in creating a comic entirely on my own," Stewart writes.
