Book Launch: J.G. Lutes, Notes from The Black Book Sure Thing

When: Sat., Oct. 17, 2 p.m. 2009
Price: free
When Jeremy Lutes' poetry-like thoughts started popping into his head four years ago, he decided to write them down. "People were agreeing with my thoughts, was the sense I got," says Lutes, a musician from Wolfville, who most recently posted his written-down thoughts to musicians such as Gord Downey and Hawksley Workman. The accumulation of his poems turned into a self-published book titled, *Notes from The Black Book*, including poems on things such as airport massages to temptation. Some are a few paragraphs, while others are a few lines, but none are longer than the palm of your hand. "I don't want to waste any words, but I had something to say," explains Lutes. To get a copy of Lute's *Notes* go to the book launch at the Paragon with guest music and readings by Ben Stevenson and Steve Gates. –Holly Gordon
