Send Flowers

Black Lungs
Send Flowers
(Dine Alone Records)
As Dallas Green is working towards establishing City and Colour as a household name, fellow Alexisonfire bandmate Wade MacNeil is releasing the debut album Send Flowers from his side project, Black Lungs. As suggested from the title, the tone of this disc is thematically heavier than the work being released by Green's City and Colour. Send Flowers is a catharsis for Wade as it addresses his grief in relation to the passing of a parent---MacNeil's mother recently succumbed to cancer. Tracks such as "In Memory," "For Her" and "These Moments Define Us" also show that MacNeil is an equally talented member of AOF.
