Best Wine List

Gold Winner Obladee, A Wine Bar

Silver Winner Little Oak

Bronze Winner The Barrington Steakhouse & Oyster Bar

“When we first opened there weren’t a lot of businesses like ours but now there are, and people have a lot of choice—not only that, but the wine lists across the city are improving too,” says Heather Rankin, who’s still surprised to win Best Wine List after nine consecutive nods. The Obladee owner, though knocking on the door of 10 years’ successful service, says evolving and educating herself and her staff remains of major importance as folks eating and drinking out know more and want more than ever before. “It is really about listening to the customer and resisting the urge to compete with your peers. It’s about who is your customer and what they are looking for. There is room for everyone as long as everyone is doing something a little bit differently.” We’ll drink to that.
