This is a tough category to stay on top of: Halifax has a lot of fish on its menus. Hamachi House pulls it off though. “We have high-standard chefs,” says Leanne Christie. “Mostly we hire from the west coast of Canada and California, where there are chefs trained in Korea, Japan or China. Christie says a first time sushi eater should come on down. “We are very friendly,” she says, “and someone new to sushi is in for a great adventure.”
