Last year, Dharma edged out Hamachi House to win Best Sushi; this year, the roles are reversed and it’s Hamachi House by a sheet of nori. Thanks to the sushi tsunami that has washed over the SuperCity in the past few years, the field in this category is deep, so there must be something very special about these two to stay on top. I asked a Hamachi House fan why he voted that way: “There’s cheaper sushi,” he says, “but this is consistently fresh, and I know it’s going to be the same every time I come in.”
