“It’s welcoming, bright, open,” says Halifax Central Library branch manager Kathleen Peverill of the city’s Best Student Hang. “Students may come to Central Library to connect with information, but we see them connect with each other and meet people from the community.” What makes the space unique is students come there to do more than study. They’re creating a podcast or taking a cooking class, or just grabbing a coffee and meeting with a friend. Full of great views and cozy nooks, Peverill says the “Central Library is busier than it’s ever been before.”
