Cleve’s has by far the broadest selection of sporting goods in Halifax, with each of its stores jam-packed with seemingly every item related to every sport you can think of: running, hockey, golf, swimming, et cetera. And the Park Lane Cleve’s is even more jam-packed than all the other Cleve’s in town. Silver winner MEC is less team-sport-oriented, concentrating instead on high-end gear for individualist sports like mountain climbing and wilderness hiking. Bronze-winning Sport Chek comes up the middle, with its good selection and a concentration on customer service.
