Just over a year ago Chris Davis and his bestie Brad Farquhar bought the already established Beaver Bank Station, a neighbourhood pub operating out of the character-filled former train station hotel, built way way back in 1872. “Pub comes from the term public house, and this is literally like going to drink at somebody’s house,” says Davis. “It’s like the Henry House, it has that same vibe.” That vibe is what he attributes a lot of the spot’s success to, but don’t get it twisted—the food is top notch. “If somebody asked me where I wanted to eat, I’d say here,” Davis says, shouting out his chef Tanjira “Kakki” Rujigornchiyagit. “I’d hate to steal from Papa John, but it’s better food.”
