Reeny Smith had a big 2019. She was featured in CBC Gem’s Hear! Here! A Musical Geographic, gave performances with both Neptune Theatre’s Kitchen Party and Symphony Nova Scotia with her sister Mahalia Smith, won an ECMA for her album WWIII: Strength, Courage, Love and placed among the top 10 of the CBC Searchlight competition. The new year promises to be just as eventful. “Next year I’m releasing a new album, and also a Christmas album,” she says. “No official dates or details yet, but definitely spring and fall releases.” Not sure about you, but it feels like our 2020 holiday shopping list has already been sorted.
