If you’ve been to a big ticket event in the past year, you’ve seen Reeny Smith. Anderson .Paak at Jazz Fest. Lisa Fischer at the Cohn. deadmau5 on the Common. Government House for Halifax Pop Explosion. She played them all. “Each show just seemed to get better and better,” says the humble Smith. “We got big crowds, we saw so many new faces. I guess people really liked what they saw.” Smith is hard at work on a record due out next year, with the single dropping in January. Clearly Halifax is already on board. “A huge thank-you to everyone who voted, I appreciate it,” she says. “Look forward to some more great music and great shows from me in 2018.”
