What makes Sickboy so refreshing, says creator and host Jeremie Saunders, is that the repeat Best Podcast winner purposefully dives headfirst into challenging topics. Where others shy away, Sickboy digs in. “We’re unapologetic in our approach,” says Saunders. “For a lot of people, there’s something really refreshing about that.” It's part of Sickboy’s DNA. The major impetus for starting the podcast was that every time Saunders brought up his cystic fibrosis, people became awkward and tightened up. “I always found that was really unnecessary and silly.” Three years later, the compassionate, empathetic, emotional podcast is a true Halifax success story.
