On a recent job posting for a Dalhousie University Killam Library circulation clerk, the position called for a shelving heavyweight who could sort and put away about 2,500 books a day. Wow. That sure is a lotta call numbers to remember. Not to mention all the other books, newspapers, microforms, maps, photos, government documents and statistical data the university library also houses.
