Steve Murphy cruises to his fourth-straight win as best news anchor, running away with the popular vote. Murphy says that after so many wins in this category, he has considered taking himself out of the running so that other local anchors might receive some well-deserved props. “There are lots of people doing our work in this town that deserve recognition,” says Murphy. “I’ve won this a few times now, and it’s been very gratifying for me, but maybe The Coast should exclude me and pick another worthy recipient.” Wait, can he do that?
