Spend one evening at a packed-to-the-rafters Stillwell, sipping on the very best in local beer, chowing down on a bowl of duck-fat popcorn and some Atari fries while the buzz of conversation competes with whatever record’s spinning and you’ll see what makes it a clear winner in this category. Blurring demographics in the name of beer, the Barrington hangout has ruled since day one back in November. “We just wanted to do a bar that was focused on what we thought was the right stuff i.e. really good beer, really good snacks,” says one of its trio of owners, Christopher Reynolds. “It’s the type of place you can go in as a grown-up and it’s not too stuffy, it’s not a club, it’s for all of us in the middle…grown-ups that aren’t too grown up.”
