What is it about the Oxford---our city’s rep cinema stand-in---that appeals to our collective imagination? The classic date-movie theatre was shrunk down to hamster-size for Jesse Owens’ short film Copain de paix. It was the setting for an issue of the Oni Comics series Local by Brian Wood and Ryan Kelly. It has hosted red carpet galas, festivals and midnight charity screenings of pop-culture classics.
