We’ve long known that Megan Leslie ably reflected Halifax values—she’s the poster child for what a Haligonian is, does and believes in. But two terms in, we also know that she is a stellar representative. Leslie has taken Ottawa by storm, and is now deputy leader of the official opposition, and is universally liked by her peers. Don’t tell anyone, but last time we were in the capital, we found Leslie palling around with a Conservative MP from Alberta. “Hey, just because she’s wrong about everything doesn’t mean she isn’t a lot of fun,” said Leslie. “It might even be why she’s fun.”
