Danny Graham’s well-deserved victory as best MLA comes as the former Liberal leader steps away from political life to spend more time with his family. Through his work in the legislature, Graham was able to improve the lives of many Nova Scotians by re-examining public policy, a passion that he says will continue as he returns to his first calling: private law. Graham will also continue to be heavily involved with Envision Halifax, a group that encourages local civic engagement. “There are many things that I’ll miss from politics, but I’m at peace with the decision,” says Graham. “It’s the right decision for the most important reasons. Much as I will miss it and I’m leaving the table hungry, I haven’t second-guessed the decision one bit.”
