(In previous years, this question and the next asked for the best and worst magazines besides The Coast. This year, with The Coast more a weekly newspaper than a biweekly mag, such instructions were left out. As a result, The Coast received an embarrassingly large portion of the Best Magazine votes—as well as a few for Worst Magazine. The Coast politely withdrew from competition, but not before thanking all its readers and extolling them to “Keep on reading into the next millennium!”)
