Buck 65 AKA Rich Terfry furthered his local legend last year by hardly ever being here. The hip-hop beat poet has been on the road ever since he signed to Warner a few years back and when he does take a break, it’s mostly in Paris, writing books and choreographing and starring in videos with Leslie Feist (the fantastic “One Evening”). But every once in a while, you’ll see the scruffy rapper walking around town, where rumour has it he’s writing a new record. In the meantime, the Mount Uniacke-bred Buck recently released This Right Here is Buck 65, a compilation of his best tracks for the US market, he got nominated for Best Songwriter at the Junos and he soon hits the beaten track again for an American tour with Moby. Wicked and weird, indeed.
