Best Liquor / Wine Store

Bishop’s Cellar

This is the place all the liquor reps love because it gives them a venue to bring in the wines that the NSLC stores don’t carry. “A lot of South American and Australian wines,” says Erin Horton, one of two sommeliers working at the store, mentioning by name stellar wines from Peter Lehmann and New Zealand’s Spy Valley. She also points out that despite their location at the swanky Bishop’s Landing, the prices are competitive. “We carry all of the Nova Scotia stuff at the same price as the vineyards…award-winning wines from Yost, Gaspereau and Grand Pre.” 1477 Lower Water, 490-2675

First runner up: Port of Wines

Second runner up: Premier Wine & Spirits
