After long-time gold winner Fireworks Gallery was unseated this year by The Vault, things were pretty amped up at the Spring Garden location. “It feels great,” says Vault general manager Christina Pasquet, “and maybe has something to do with our expansion that tripled the store size in the Halifax Shopping Centre.” After 26 years in the Bayers Road Shopping Centre and a move to its prominent spot on Spring Garden Road, four years ago The Vault opened a second location in the Halifax Shopping Centre and just this year it was made bigger and better. “So, now we have the room to carry more, and get our special handmade lines to a larger audience,” says Pasquet. With more space comes more fans, but it was the original Spring Garden location that took home the gold---which just goes to show, size doesn’t always matter.
