When asked why he thinks The Prince George snagged gold in this year’s Best of Halifax Readers’ Choice Awards, general manager Scott Travis has an answer at the ready: “That’s easy, it’s our staff. We have a team that’s really empowered and they all contribute. Our culture here is 32 years in the making and our staff has never been more diverse,” he says. “We have never been more suited to serve our guests. I meet all these people when I come to work everyday and hear these amazing stories from their lives. Some of them have been here since we opened our doors 32 years ago, some of them have been here 32 minutes and they’re all vital.”
