Best of Halifax

Best Halifax Slang

We’ll say this much for the record: Even though the expression “Halifamous” has been carried away by the culture, appearing on other websites and even in The Globe and Mail, it originated in the pages of The Coast. So fly, sweet Halifax slang. Fly onward, out of the mouths of babes, let it be known that if you are from Halifax, and you are a celebrity, or even a semi-celebrity within the city, you are Halifamous.

A reader suggests a nice twist.
“Though, I prefer halinfamous myself.”
