For the second year in a row, downtown Dartmouth’s delightful Dart Gallery takes home the gold for Best Gallery. Owner Jane MacDougald is enthusiastic as heck about showing accessible art in a chill and comfortable environment, as she explains: “Sometimes galleries can be intimidating, but they shouldn’t be. Art is for everyone to enjoy; it’s the coolest!” Displaying everything from Simpsons-inspired multimedia shows to out-of-this-world abstracts to collections of haiku poems about Dartmouth, The Dart Gallery’s pop-culture passion and laid back vibes are a winning combination, no matter how you paint it.
