The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia owns this category, picking up top honours for the 10th year in a row. It was a big year for the gallery; their Rodin exhibition brought in record attendance numbers. Still, after that many wins, the AGNS’s manager of development Jeff Gray could be forgiven for being a little smug, but Gray says that the gallery category isn’t about winning and losing. “It’s just great that there’s a list,” Gray says. “The fact that there are other great art institutions in Halifax to be on the list I think is a more interesting thing for the city than us winning.
