Best Gallery

Art Gallery of Nova Scotia

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia owns this category, picking up top honours for the 10th year in a row. It was a big year for the gallery; their Rodin exhibition brought in record attendance numbers. Still, after that many wins, the AGNS’s manager of development Jeff Gray could be forgiven for being a little smug, but Gray says that the gallery category isn’t about winning and losing. “It’s just great that there’s a list,” Gray says. “The fact that there are other great art institutions in Halifax to be on the list I think is a more interesting thing for the city than us winning. We’re just happy to be part of such an interesting and vibrant community.” So gracious, it makes us sick. 1723 Hollis, 424-7542
