“We are delighted to hear such great news,” says Argyle Fine Art’s director Adriana Afford, who’s periodically had to peer through scaffolding for months at a time as a shop-owner on Barrington Street. “Construction has been tough, but that means we just have to work smarter to get people to visit in person or online and engage. We pride ourselves on being accessible to a wide audience.” Afford points to the annual Pre-shrunk show, Rainworks—messages only visible in the rain—and a visit from a Delorean as highlights from the past year. Moving forward, “The focus will be interactive and experiences,” she says. “More workshops, more extra special one-night-only events, more collaborations with other businesses and a pop-up or two in areas out of the downtown.”
