My! You folks do love your camping, don’t you? The good news is, pot smoke keeps the insects away better than citronella, but the three-day music and social awareness extravaganza that is Antigonish’s annual Evolve Festival is worth a few bug bites anyway. Held August 23-25, 2002, Evolve will once again combine the sweetest mix of hip-hop, electronica, jazz beats and alternative country imaginable. Added to the mix is what makes this fest unique—a full plate of seminars on social justice and environmental awareness issues. If that doesn’t get you all riled up, frankly, nothing will.
